THE MAGIC OF SCIENCE

The Magic of Science show began in 2002 when science teacher Michael Koski, Ed. S.,  collected the best labs he had used in in his classes over the years and put them together into a single science show.  The unifying theme of the show is the wonder created by the demonstrations of discrepant events (phenomena with unexpected results) that invites the audience to ask questions.  Traditionally, magicians have used these events to create Illusions.

Together with his daughter Sarah, they have been presenting The Magic of Science show and science workshops for over 10 years in MA schools, libraries and youth events.  Beginning in 2012, The Magic of Science show and worshops became available in NH.

SHOWS

If you would like an entertaining and educational presentation for the children in your community, The Magic of Science is just the ticket.  The show last approximately 1 hour and is appropriate for ages 5-13.  Groups up to 100 children will still allow everyone to participate in the demonstrations.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops are in depth explorations into a variety of science concepts.  They usually run 1-2 hours where children are given a chance to learn by exploring and experimenting with a variety of materials.  Designing and building their own  creations allows children to learn the science concepts through their own observations.

Child Safety

All experiments are safe and performed under the supervision of the presenter.  In over 10 years of presenting shows and workshops in MA, there have been no safety concerns or problems.  Relying on his classroom experience and training, the demonstrations have been designed to be very safe.

Presenters

Michael Koski and his daughter Sarah have been presenting Magic of Science shows and workshops since 2002.  Both presenters are skilled at interacting with large groups and engaging the entire audience.  The fast pace of the programs ensures that nobody is bored or has to sit through a long set that does not interest them.
